One day, it dawned on me that ordinary couples don’t actually behave in their everyday lives the way they do in their social media photos—they don’t run and twirl down the streets with ear-to-ear smiles… From that moment on, my photography changed, and my approach to working with couples is based on the question: what kind of photos would I personally want with my partner, and what would we be doing in them? The answer to this gives me a vision of how to direct people in front of the camera and be on the same wavelength with them.
